In honor of Earth Day, our Homeschool Group gathered rakes and shovels and trash bags, and did a park cleanup at Bruce Field in Malden. Everyone worked hard, and after the work was done, we all enjoyed some pizza and all the kids had time to run and play.

And now... for a little rant :)
I'm talkin' to YOU here, mean people who toss trash and beer bottles onto the ground when there are trash cans every 8 feet around the park. In addition to the whole environmental aspect of trashing up the earth... this is a PARK where CHILDREN PLAY. Have a little consideration and please don't smash your beer bottles at the baseball field and toss your used condoms in the playground. I mean, really... Ugh.
